A dearly loved husband, dad and grandad  whose wicked sense of humour and acts of kindness have endeared him to so many people over the years and across the globe.
During his extensive world wide travels John came to appreciate the plight of less fortunate people and identified the importance of ready access to clean safe water. Both John and his wife Rosemary spent time in India where water poverty is a huge humanitarian problem and is sadly predicted to get worse. John has been an inspiration to so many people over the years and rightly gained a reputation for being a great friend to those fortunate enough to know him. A decent man of integrity who would be pleased to think that his legacy might in some small way help those in need of safe clean water.
